Are You Thinking About Mineral Make-Up?
Does your make-up make you break out?
Maybe you should switch to mineral make-up.
Benefits of Mineral Make-Up
-
Does not clog pores.
-
Has sun protection
-
Soothes skin
Here are some details:
The true difference from conventional makeup is
what’s NOT in mineral makeup.
No emollient oils and waxes, fragrance,
and preservative ingredients.
Those are the things that
cause irritation.
Your pores can breathe.
And here’s something I hadn’t thought about:
Unlike most makeup, the ingredients are inorganic,
which means that bacteria and microbes
cannot live in the makeup and infect the skin.
I love that!
Also, good mineral make-up is
extremely finely ground.
It feels like you’re not wearing any make-up.
Plus, it reflects light so you have a beautiful glow.
But Get Real
Just because mineral is good for your skin
does not mean it will cure your acne.
And just because it has some sun block
does not mean you are really protected
if you stay out in the sun for a long time.
And you still have to keep your brushes clean,
even though it is inorganic.
However, on the whole, why aren’t you using minerals?
Of course, we have the best mineral make-up at Ageless Remedies,
GloMinerals, Beauty With a Higher Purpose.
Come by and try it out!

Perfect Baby Skin
ANTI-AGING and APPLES
Most women who use skin care products want to minimize the signs of aging.
Do you?
NEWSFLASH
Anti-aging technology is applying lessons
learned from apples.
(I couldn’t make this up.)
WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
As we age, the turnover of human epidermal stem cells
begins to slow.
These critical cells function less efficiently.
Lost and dying cells start to outnumber fresh new cells,
and, eventually, they culminate in signs of aging.
Result? Dull, wrinkled skin.
But a certain type of apple has cells with the ability
to keep dividing over many generations.
These cells can stimulate and protect human cells.
This means your skin ages more slowly.
-
Fewer fine lines and wrinkles.
-
Decreased collagen loss.
-
More anti-oxidant protection.
Collagen, a protein, is important because it acts as scaffolding
holding up the skin, and keeping it smooth and wrinkle-free.
Wrinkles are the sign of declining collagen.
More collagen, fewer wrinkles.
I love that!
Your skin turns over more rapidly. You look great.
Thank you, stem cells – from apples, or whatever.
Of course, at Ageless Remedies SouthPark Med Spa
we offer skin care products that take advantage of this
technology. Specifically, Image Skin Care,
exclusive to physicians.

Hydrate Your Skin
Why do you have to keep your skin hydrated?
Because without proper hydration to maintain
the texture, Trouble:
-
Wrinkles
-
Dried blackheads
-
Blocked pores, which lead to pimples
How can you keep your skin hydrated?
Hyaluronic Acid
unfortunate name, secret anti-aging ingredient
Sadly, it sounds like a stomach ailment.
Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in skin.
It attracts and binds water within the cells of the skin
acting like a sponge.
Result?
Supple, firm, young-looking skin.
That’s what I want. Don’t you?
Shannon Perez explains:
“As we age, the body begins to produce less and less hyaluronic acid while the cumulative environmental impact of radiation, chemicals, poor nutrition and other hazards continue to take their toll.
Delicate facial tissure tends to show it first as the impact of dehydration, loss of collagen and reduction of elastin form fine lines, wrinkles and loss of supple skin tone.”
There are 2 main ways a med spa can help.
-
Topical serums: SkinCeuticals, IS Clinical, Image Skincare, Neocutis
-
Dermal fillers: Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, etc.

radiant, young-looking,
and HYDRATED!

Anti-Oxidants and Anti-Aging

Valerie Monroe talks about anti-oxidants in O, The Oprah Magazine:
Antioxidants…can help prevent wrinkles,
reduce hyperpigmentation (sun spots),
and improve skin tone…
Anti-oxidants combat the dreaded Free Radicals.
Free radicals are those extremely reactive molecules
produced by our environment and our bodies
that damage cells and tissues.
How Free Radicals Damage Our Skin
They cause:
-
wrinkles
-
loss of skin tone
-
hyperpigmentation
-
aging
-
and skin cancer
So you should include an anti-oxidant
in your skin-care regimen.
The most common anti-oxidant is
Vitamin C.
(Be sure it is packaged properly,
in dark glass or a tube,
as Vitamin C breaks down easily
when exposed to light.)
Enough said.
To read about how I define
a decent, basic, skin care regime,

My current favorite oxidant is
SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum
because it has soooo much extra good stuff!
