Good News!   (Or at least I think so!) We don’t have to avoid the sun.

Dr. Michael Holick is concerned that “we have become a culture of sun phobes who fear exposure to direct sunlight”
and this has lead to a national epidemic of Vitamin D Deficiency.

We need sun exposure to manufacture Vitamin D.

I love it!

But let’s not get carried away.
Arms and legs, yes.  Face, no.   He says:
“We never recommend you expose your face.  You should always protect it with either sunscreen or an appropriate hat.”

This is a pretty controversial stand in the medical world.  What do you think?

It makes sense to me.  Of course, I’m biased…  I love to be out in my garden, playing in the dirt.
Getting dirty then gives me a great excuse to take a long, soaking bath.
