Not Just Another Pretty Face

Botox is manufactured by Allergan,
which has initiated several philanthropic campaigns:

“BOTOX® Cosmetic: Express Success”

In honor of working women, Allergan donated $250,000 to Dress for Success.
This organization helps disadvantaged women succeed in the workforce.

Vanessa Williams says:

“As a working woman and actress, I know how important it is to ‘look the part’
when interviewing for a new position or in any professional setting.”

“Open Arms:
Raising Awareness of Upper Limb Spasticity”

Allergan has joined forces with Henry Winkler
and 5 national patient advocacy organizations
to address the low awareness and under-diagnosis of upper limb spasticity.

“Happy Days” star Henry Winkler is personally familiar with the impact
that upper limb spasticity can have on a person.
His late mother struggled with the condition, without treatment, for 10 years
following a stroke before she passed away.

Mr. Winkler explains:

“Much less was known about upper limb spasticity during her time,
and now, not only do we know more about how to manage this condition,
there are treatment options available.”

“Botox Dreams” for Cervical Dystonia

National Hockey League’s Rem Murray tells his story:

“I had been playing in the NHL for eight years when the symptoms
of what later would be diagnosed as cervical dystonia (CD), began.
I had difficulty keeping my head from shaking and pulling to the side,
which worsened steadily until my head was pulled all the way to the left.
The constant and involuntary contraction of my neck muscles
resulted in such unbearable pain, I found it almost impossible
to drive a car, read to my children, or even watch a movie.
I certainly couldn’t play hockey, so I had to quit the sport I loved.

Thanks to my healthcare team, I received an accurate diagnosis,
prompt treatment with BOTOX®, and the right physical therapy.
With all this and the support from the folks I love,
I was able to return to hockey,
and the thrill of playing in the 2006 Stanley Cup playoffs.”

“Your Personal Best”

Five-time gold medalist, Nadia Comaneci, and nine-time gold medalist, Mark Spitz,
joined  Allergan, Inc. , in 2008, in a  consumer education campaign
to inspire men and women to achieve their own personal best –
be it through diet, exercise or by improving their personal skin care routine.
They traveled the country to share tips on how they remain at the top of their game.

Most people recognize that they feel their best define their personal best as a combination of

  • feeling their best
  • looking their best and
  • fulfilling their responsibilities

I agree.
How about you?

Looking Great

You Already Know This:

Cosmetic Procedures No Longer Reserved for the Rich, Report Says

Now market trends confirm that patients are moving away from invasive procedures
that require significant downtime and great expense.

Aren’t you?

“Technological advancements have made non-invasive treatment alternatives increasingly safe, affordable and easy to use,” said Bruce Carlson, publisher of Kalorama Information.

“As a result, patients are seeking treatment for wrinkles and other blemishes in larger numbers than ever before, a trend that is being magnified by the baby boomer phenomenon.”

Baby boomers…have an overwhelming desire to retain a youthful appearance,
and they are turning to these less invasive and more affordable procedures in great numbers.

Med Spas Offer Alternatives To Surgery

Do you always look tired, angry, or stressed –
even when you’re not?

Many baby boomers are looking to delay signs of aging,
but not quite as many are willing to go under the knife to do so.

For that reason, procedures such as Botox injections and facial fillers
have been growing in popularity over the last several years,
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Botox

Some people feel that wrinkles around their add years to their appearance.

Botox erases crow’s feet, not to mention the deep frown lines between your eyebrows.

Really.

  • 10 minutes.
  • No surgery.
  • No downtime.
  • Very little discomfort.

Fillers

The name says it all.  Fill in those lines under your eyes.

No, not yourself!

That’s what Dr. G is here for.

Personally, I think that unless you have a super great plastic surgeon,
the results from these non-surgical procedures are far more natural looking.

Anti Aging: Truth About Botox “Cream”

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

True or False?

Topical “Wrinkle Relaxers” vs. Botox and Dysport

“Muscles below the skin cause expression-related wrinkles, and there’s no topical product out there that can penetrate deep enough to minimize the muscle contractions that cause lines.

The companies pushing creams that (they say) are “better than Botox”… can only say their products work like Botox becase their active ingredients act on the same protein as injectables —

in a petri dish.

Bottom line:

Wrinkle-relaxing creams are a waste of time and money.”

Ageless Elaine isn’t making this up.

Make Botox Your New Year’s Resolution

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

Happy New Year!

A Refreshed Face For The New Year!

Your Resolutions?

The New Year is a time of resolutions toward self improvement.
Many people commit to increased hours at the gym, a healthier diet,
breaking of bad habits, working toward their career,
or otherwise striving to improve their lives and appearance.

BUT???

But what about those aspects of your appearance and life
that cannot be changed through hard work or willpower?

The tiny lines and wrinkles around your eyes, a furrowed brow,
and the overall appearance that you are always tired or
strained will not just go away.

There is a way that the new year can bring you
a more youthful, rested, and refreshed appearance
to accompany those resolved improvements in other areas of your life.

THE Solution

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery,
Botox is the most popular of all medically administered cosmetic procedures.
It is non-invasive, relatively painless, inexpensive, quick,
and offers immediate results of improvement of your natural appearance
without drastic, artificial looking changes.

Frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet and other lines and wrinkles
are temporarily reduced or eliminated for up to four months.

Looking Great In The New Year Is Only A Simple Procedure Away

With results lasting as long as four months,
a new year treatment will last until spring,
when the injections can be updated
for your fresher, younger look heading into summer.

You will likely find that getting rid of your wrinkles
and a more youthful appearance are the least painful
and most easily accomplished of all of your new year’s resolutions.

You will appear younger, relaxed, rested, and energized.
So take matters into your own hands and enjoy all that the new year has to offer.

Then, tell us how you feel — in the comment box below.
