Glo like J-Lo

Glo Like J-Lo

Glo with GloMineral Make-up

“People” Magazine called Jennifer Lopez this year’s
“most beautiful woman in the world.”

If you’re clamoring for her gorgeous, bronzy glow as much as I am,
check out these Glo Minerals mineral makeup picks and tips
to get that lovely look while nourishing and perfecting your skin.

Step #1:
Mix Face Primer
with Sheer Tint Illuminator
and apply under a light application of Sheer Tint Base or Pressed or Loose Base
to create a dewy natural glow.

Step #2:
Lightly dust the face (all over) with Bronze and Dust 24k in gold.

I love this stuff!
Been getting tons of compliments –
and I think it’s because of this :)

It’s a seamless color enhancement with a hint of bronze shimmer.
Dust bronzer on lightly to add color and contour
for a no-consequence sun-tanned glo.

Step #3:
Highlight the tops of the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead slightly with Highlighter.

Step #4:
Swirl together the four shimmering hues in Shimmer Brick (in gleam or luster!)
to highlight and add luster to your lids, face, neck and decolletage.

Step #5:
Define eyes and balance the bronze look using Eye Shadow Trio in copper sheen or coffee.

Step #5:
Let me know how great you look!

Do You Break Out From Your Make-Up?

Mineral Makeup

Are You Thinking About Mineral Make-Up?

Does  your make-up make you break out?

Maybe you should switch to mineral make-up.

Benefits of Mineral Make-Up

  • Does not clog pores.

  • Has sun protection

  • Soothes skin

Here are some details:

The true difference from conventional makeup is
what’s NOT in mineral makeup.

No emollient oils and waxes, fragrance,
and preservative ingredients.
Those are the things that
cause irritation.

Your pores can breathe.

And here’s something I hadn’t thought about:

Unlike most makeup, the ingredients are inorganic,
which means that bacteria and microbes
cannot live in the makeup and infect the skin.

I love that!

Also, good mineral make-up is
extremely finely ground.
It feels like you’re not wearing any make-up.

Plus, it reflects light so you have a beautiful glow.

But Get Real

Just because mineral is good for your skin
does not mean it will cure your acne.

And just because it has some sun block
does not mean you are really protected
if you stay out in the sun for a long time.

And you still have to keep your brushes clean,
even though it is inorganic.

However, on the whole, why aren’t you using minerals?

Of course, we have the best mineral make-up at Ageless Remedies,

GloMinerals, Beauty With a Higher Purpose.

Come by and try it out!

3 Tips To Look Younger

Barbra Streisand

Barbra Does It Right

Do You?

1. Lighten the lipstick.
Nothing ages you like “dark lipstick,
lipstick bleeding into fine lines, cracked lips,
thin lips, obvious lip liner, overly matte lipstick,
or obviously fake plumped lips.”

The right shade can compensate for dull complexions.
The darker the color, the thinner your lips will look.
It’s just like wearing dark clothing—dark slims, lighter emphasizes.

You know, black makes your rear look smaller,
and white makes it look plumper.

So follow the same principle when selecting your lipstick,
and your lips will look fuller and sexier.

2. Unmask your foundation.
Enhance your beautiful face,
don’t cover it up with thick foundations and unnatural color.
The “young and hip” look is radiant, glowing skin.

Of course, if you are following a professionally prescribed
skin care regimen from Ageless Remedies,
you know you don’t need heavy foundation.

Our GloMineral pressed powder foundation is perfect.

Use blush to make you look like you are blushing.
Don’t try to create high cheekbones with a model-like contour.

I wrote about this in another blog entry.
Click on this link.

3. Lose the heavy eyeliner.
Nothing ages you like thick black eyeliner,
cracked liquid liner, liner that is not well blended in,
liner inside your lower lashes,
too-bright eye shadow, glittery eye shadow,
overly matte eye shadow,
clumpy hard mascara
or a single ledge of false lashes.

Lots of people say that I look like Barbra.
Do You Agree ???

(We grew up in the same neighborhood in Brooklyn.
Does that count?)

Barbra’s a couple of years older than I am.

I’ve never had any facial plastic surgery…

Sunbathing

Love the hat!

This is straight from Age Defy Truths and Myths

How many of us used to bask  in the sun
soaked in  Johnson and Johnson Baby Oil? I remember using reflectors under my neck staring up into the sun… Hopefully, no one is  using  J&J Baby Oil anymore or lying on in the sun with without sunscreen or a hat.

Protection is key.

Use a good Physical Sun Block under your make-up everyday and  wear protective clothing. The sun is damaging through your car window as well as in your office.

Here are some  basic helpful tips
from the Skin Cancer Foundation:

  • Seek the shade, especially between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M.
  • Do not burn.
  • Avoid tanning and UV tanning booths.
  • Use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher every day.
  • Apply 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of sunscreen to your entire body
    30 minutes before going outside.
    Reapply every two hours.
  • Cover up with clothing,
    including a broad-brimmed hat and UV-blocking sunglasses.
  • Keep newborns out of the sun.
Sunscreens should be used on babies over the age of six months.
  • Examine your skin head-to-toe every month.
  • See your physician every year for a professional skin exam.

Be proactive and learn about preventing Melanoma.

Our medspa offers many sunscreens to choose from,
so you are sure to get one that is right for your skin.

GloMinerals Make-Up has sunscreen built in.  Very cool.

Please take care of yourself and your loved ones.
