Winter's Here

Winterize Your Skin!

Cold winter weather has arrived.
Dermatologist  David Green M.D.  shares these thoughts
for winterizing your skin to  maintain
glowing skin during the  harsh winter months.

Help your skin survive the winter season!

  • HYDRATE

During the winter months, your skin will be most susceptible to dehydration.
This is because cold dry air depletes your skin of moisture.
You may need to upgrade your moisturizer
or enhance your current moisturizer with a hydrating serum.

Time to check in with your aesthetician at our med spa
to adjust your skin care regimen.

  • EXFOLIATE

Yes, it is still important to exfoliate during the winter months.
Getting rid of those dead, dry cells in the outermost layer of your skin
will make it appear more radiant.  A professional microdermabrasion
or chemical peel package at our med spa  will
keep your skin healthy and glowing.

In addition, your moisturizer will penetrate more thoroughly
and provide greater benefit.

  • PROTECT

Use your sun screen.
Just because you are no longer  laying out by the pool
does not mean you are not exposing your skin to UV rays.
UV rays are present all year round.

Dr. Green’s got it goin’ on!

Seriously, following his advice will minimize the
potential damage that dry winter weather can do.

The 3 Most Important Skincare Tips

  1. Hydrate

  2. Exfoliate

  3. Protect

Here’s what I said:

“Find a two-in-one moisturizer
and sunscreen to help you
fight the good fight.Elaine Greenberg, owner of Ageless Remedies,
recommends looking for a moisturizer
with Vitamin C in it.

Vitamin C can help reduce skin damage
caused by free radicals.

Also, Vitamin C is essential
for the synthesis of collagen,
a key structural protein of the skin.”
